There's so much to say about the 'Ohi'a Lehua tree, where do we start?  From hula adornments, to hard wood weaponry, to medicinal teas and more, this beautiful, sturdy and hardy native plant in Hawaii has been able to grow in some of the harshest environments or Pele's land of lava beds.  Unfortunately,  this plant is suffering from a a disease here in Hawaii called Rapid 'Ohi'a Death.  We encourage you to do a little research on the 'Ohi'a Lehua tree to see how you can help in the research of this problematic threat to this beautiful tree.
